FAQs

Pricing

Every design is priced based on size of the job along with size of the main design and sleeve details. Yes, some designs look small for the price but they may take over an hour to make each piece. You also have to consider how much it costs and how long it takes me to make each individual piece. I am one person with mechanical limitations. These designs have a lot of details as well.

Here is what I have to consider when pricing things:

  • How long does the design take to stitch?
  • How long did it take me to make the design (draw, digitize, test out)?
  • Thread: $6/roll
  • Machine: $5000
  • Website: $30/month
  • Hoodies: $14-$25 per hoodie
  • Sweatshirts: $11-$20 per sweatshirt
  • Shipping materials
  • Machine maintenance: $200+
  • Marketing

Example: one design takes 130 minutes to stitch but the machine keeps goofing up. The total time to make the design jumps from 130 minutes (2 hours and 10 minutes) to 160 minutes (2 hours and 40 minutes). In that extra time it took to finish the main design on the front, I could have made a different design and fulfilled another order. My time is worth something.

You are not obligated to buy anything but do consider these things when making your purchase.

Why are the "small" designs so expensive?

As mentioned above, designs are priced based on all of the factors that play into making them (time, materials, etc). The designs are pretty big as compared to typical things you could find. I love the designs to be highly detailed but, like with tattoos, the more detail, the bigger the size. My machine can only go up to 7.8" x 7.8" and the designs have to fit a smaller parameter. I make all of these myself so I have to stick to that limitation.

You also have to consider that there is a cotton/paper-like backing to each design that holds the stitches in place. The bigger that space is, the more cumbersome it is to wear. My goal is to be able to provide high detailed designs with the comfort of everyday wear.

Is it gonna look just like the listing picture?

The mock-ups you see are just so you can see how the design would look on the item since I don't currently have physical copies to show off. The image I used is no definitive size. Each size makes the design appearance vary. The same design on a small won't look the same as on a 2XL since there is more negative space to counteract it.

The stitched up image you see is the file directly from my program. It will look as close to this as possible.

How do I care for my item?

I usually just wash the ones I've made for myself  inside out with the rest of my clothes. The backing I use is going to keep the stitches in place so no worries! If you are super concerned about any possible issues, I would wash it inside out in a pillow case to keep the artwork from being rubbed up on by the rest of your clothes and if the art looks warped or wrinkled, ironing/steaming it back to normal will do the trick!
